Meet Dr. Ali Iranmanesh, DMD, MD

Dr. Ali Iranmanesh grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and attended Fremont High School in Sunnyvale. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with minors in Philosophy and Psychology from UC San Diego, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and volunteered as a student health advisor and advocate.

Meet Dr. Ali Iranmanesh, DMD, MD

He pursued his dental education at Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, completing the same curriculum as medical students during his first two years. Dr. Iranmanesh is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. While at Harvard, he participated in two research projects examining the outcomes of TMJ surgery and the bacterial environment around dental implants. He also completed a rigorous course of study at the School of Public Health, earning both his Master’s degree in Public Health and his Doctoral degree in Dental Medicine in 1997.

Upon graduation, Dr. Iranmanesh accepted a position at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. After one year, he was accepted into the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the University of California, San Francisco. This six-year program combined training in medicine, surgery, and anesthesia. Dr. Iranmanesh earned his medical degree (MD) from UCSF in 2001 and completed his full training in 2004. After working as an associate with Drs. Mead, Whitcher, and Alltucker on the Central California Coast, he returned to the Bay Area in May 2006.

Dr. Iranmanesh’s clinical interests include dentoalveolar surgery, anesthesia, and implant dentistry. He is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, having successfully completed the rigorous application and examination process. This certification reflects his commitment to lifelong learning, staying current with advancements in the field, and practicing in a safe and contemporary manner. Dr. Iranmanesh is also an active member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the California Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is currently on staff at John Muir Medical Center’s Walnut Creek Campus and Concord Campus (formerly Mt. Diablo Hospital).
